To provide a “home” for teens from the Eastern Upper Peninsula who are in the Michigan Foster Care System. We view the teens who will be placed with us as important members of our community and want to encourage an assist them to meet their educational, emotional and social goals.
Vision
Arfstrom Faunt Independent Living Center envisions a structured, supportive, and community-based environment where male and female youth ages 16–20 are equipped with the skills, resources, and guidance necessary to achieve independence, practice personal responsibility, and successfully transition into stable, self-sufficient adulthood through a developmentally appropriate independent living program.
